Samsung and LG could start selling Galaxy S9 and G7 respectively in January next year

You guys could be seeing a showdown of the Galaxy S9 and LG G7 much earlier than expected because a rumor claims that both Samsung and LG might launch the aforementioned flagships in January 2018.

Industry sources claim that lots of smartphone manufacturers have started to push the dates of their flagship phones much earlier for 2018 and Samsung and LG happen to be one of the two manufacturers that could be launching their phones at their earliest. It is not confirmed if the launch will take place during CES 2018 but the calendar period suggests that it might happen before MWC 2018.

Qualcomm is not going to have production issues of its Snapdragon 845 because the last time this happened, LG was forced to use the Snapdragon 821 for its G6, but eventually switched to a Snapdragon 835 for the V30. Samsung, on the other hand, has already announced the Exynos 9810, which is made on the 10nm FinFET technology, plus upgraded custom-made Samsung processing cores for better performance.

A previously leaked phone case render showed that while the fingerprint reader positioning on the Galaxy S9 is still going to be at the back, it will be at a much easier location to reach with your finger.

The Galaxy S9 has also been rumored to come with improved facial recognition although it is yet to be confirmed if the phone is going to be getting 3D sensing technologies to rival the iPhone X.

The LG G7 has also been rumored to get nearly the same technologies as the Galaxy S9 so there is a lot to look forward to when both of these flagships are officially announced.

No pricing details were leaked but it is possible that both phones are expensive during the time of launch.

If you have not yet upgraded to a smartphone, will you side with the Galaxy S9 or the LG G7?
