Rumor has it: Xiaomi Mi 6 to be announced on April 16th

Rumors out of China suggest that Xiaomi is all set to to unveil another smartphone, Xioami Mi 6. The company will be making the official announcement on April 16th. The report also suggested that Xiomi Mi 6 will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 which seems like a stretch. Samsung got first dibs on  Snapdragon 835, as they helped with the production process and this the reason Sony Xperia XZ Premium will be arriving in late spring.

As Xiaomi has recently started developing their own chipsets, it is baffling as to why they would switch back to Qualcomm or MediaTek’s processors. The company a few days back announced Xiaomi Mi 5C with its Pinecone processor Surge S1. So, Xiaomi Mi 6 will most probably come with a Pinecone processor, not a Qualcomm one.

The specs of the device are a bit sketchy at the moment but let’s have a look at what the deatils are. Xiaomi Mi 6 will feature a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display, which will curved. There will be both a glass and a ceramic variant for the smartphone. The camera specs, it is rumored that the sensor that Xperia XZ Premium has will feature in this smartphone. Seems like a long stretch. More details about the device will be clear in the coming days, so stay tuned to see which camera sensor it has.
