Nokia is on the way to revive its iconic name. They recently launched their first Android based smartphone, the Nokia 6 in China. The smartphone before its exclusive release at JD.com had almost 1 million registrations and on the release day it was sold out in 1 minute.
Nokia fans have been asking the company on different social networking platforms about their new smartphones and their availability in other markets. Well Nokia China on their Weibo page have responded to the fans and it seems that they do have something interesting up their sleeve. We know that Nokia has some plans for the MWC 2017, their event will be on 26th, as per their ‘Save the date‘ message.
Well according to the Weibo post Nokia claims that they have a flagship with Snapdragon 835 in works but they need some time to prepare it. A few days back there was a speculation about Nokia 8 being showcased at the CES 2017, but it turned out that it was not the case. The company at the moment is working on Nokia E1, Nokia P1 and their 18.5-inch tablet which will have Snapdragon 835.
Well this is a welcome development. Along with mid-range devices, the company needs to dip its toed in the high-end market with a flagship and prove that they are back in the game. Well as the company claims that they are working on their flagship device at the moment, there is a possibility that we may have a look at it at MWC 2017. Nokia will be in Barcelona and we cannot wait to see what they surprise us with.
