No dual lens camera for HTC U Ultra, instead using Google Pixel 12 MP camear

HTC‘s event is just a day away and the rumor mills are firing up. A few hours ago the rumored specs and the images of the devices were leaked. Now a new update suggests that, HTC’s premium handset, the HTC U Ultra (HTC Ocean Note) will have a 12MP camera similar to the one used by Google Pixel. There is no doubt that Pixel at the moment has one of the best cameras any smartphone could have.

This news contradicts with the one we got earlier, which reported that U Ultra will have a dual camera set up with a 13 MP and 12 MP camera respectively.  But the update that we have now suggests that this is not the case. HTC will be making use of the same camera that Google Pixel ad Pixel XL use but they will tweak the accompanying software so that the quality of the images is enhanced.

Along with that the HTC U Ultra will use the Snapdragon 821 chipset instead of the rumored Snapdragon 835 one. Apart from that the device will sport a 5.7 inch Quad HD display and will be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery. The smartphone will have a 4 GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. More about HTC’s offering for this year will become clear with the 12th January event.
