With Mobile World Congress just around the corner, leaks and updates about LG G6 are gaining momentum. LG itself has been enjoying teasing us by dropping promos hinting at the different features of the device like More Intelligence, More Juice and Reliability. How a device will end up looking like is one of the questions that makes people run around in circles. Well with LG G6, even though we have seen different renders, prototype and even live images of the alleged device, a lot of us are still debating. The newly leaked images of LG G6 should put these chatters to rest as it does look like the real deal.
The leaked images treat us with both the front panel and the rear of the device. The design details seen in these images confirm elements that we have seen in the countless renders and leaks. LG G6 follows a different design language than its predecessor LG G5 which had a modular design. The smartphone has a 5.7-inch Univision display which has an aspect ration of 18:9. In addition, the slim bezels at the front give way to increased display screen which goes with LG’s event promo ‘See More, Play More’.
The rear of the device reveals the brushed metal look of the device along with revealing the features at the back. The dual camera setup with the fingerprint scanner at the back. The details in terms of placement of the components are the same as seen in the leaked image which revealed LG G6 in a glossy black finish. This gives even more fuel to the idea that this is what the device will look like and the brushed metal and glossy black may very well be the two colors options offered.
In terms of specs, LG G6 will be equipped with Snapdragon 821, not Snapdragon 835 as speculated earlier as Samsung got hold of the early supplies. Along with that the smartphone will have a 4GB RAM and 64 GB of native storage. G6 will run Android Nougat out f the box with the new LG UX 6.0 interface and that includes the Always On display mode seen in the first image.
LG will be unveiling LG G6 (at the rate with which the images of the device are leaking, there wouldn’t be much left to unveil) at the MWC on 26th February. Mark your calendars!
