LG hints at an ‘ideal smartphone’ in a new promo video for G6

The competition for the Android flagships is heating up with brands bringing their flagships for the year at the MWC 2017 next month. LG is set to take center stage on 26th February to unveil the LG G6. They have scheduled the release dates for the smartphone for 10th March as they want to take advantage of the fact that Samsung will be releasing the Galaxy S8 in the mid-April. This strategy will give them a competitive edge over Samsung as consumers will have a choice of getting a high-end smartphone.

A new promo video from LG, shows that the company is pulling out all the stops to market their new flagship, the LG G6. The video claims that LG will be bringing out your ‘ideal smartphone‘. The promo is very ingenious as it focuses on consumers and asks them what they would want in their ideal smartphones. The listed qualities being bigger screen size, water resistant, slip proof and one-hand usability. The focus on consumers highlights how LG’s new smartphone was developed keeping in mind what they perceive to be the idea qualities. LG wants to reinforce that they listen to what the users have to say.

LG G6 is going to have a 5.7 inch Quad HD display with an aspect ratio of 9:18. This aspect ratio will increase the length of the device and decrease its width. In addition it will be making use of the Snapdragon 830 chipset with a 6GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The camera specs are still in the air but there is a chance that the LG G6 will be water resistant as the promo video talks about it.
