LG files trademark for ‘G6 Lite’,’G6 Compact’ and more

LG‘s upcoming flagship is the talk of the town with its announcement date just a few weeks to go. The company with LG G6 wants to prove that they know how to produce the ‘Ideal Smartphone’, with all the qualities that people are looking for. LG has been strategically dropping crumbs to create a hype for the device. Today a new information out of Korea points that there may be more LG G6 devices on the way as LG has filed trademarks for several devices.

LG has filed trademarks for the following G6 devices, the LG G6 Lite, G6 Compact, G6 Hybrid, G6 Sense, G6 Fit, G6 Forte, G6 Young and G6 Prix. This is not an unusual practice, as companies regularly file trademarks for devices they might want to bring in the future. LG filing trademarks hints that there would be more G6 devices on the way. We may look at an LG G6 Compact or an LG G6 Lite, similar to LG G5 Lite which was later renamed to LG G5 SE. The LG G6 Fit hints to a fitness band as they are all in rage currently.

LG will be unveiling the LG G6 on 26th February at the MWC 2017. The LG G6 will sport a 5.7-inch 2880 x 1440 pixel display and will have an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood it will have Snapdragon 821, with a 4GB RAM enclosed in a metal glass unibody. To date the renders seen have shown an impressive, sleek device.
