Apart from high-end devices, the market for entry-level and mid-range devices is quite strong. With increased competition people are looking for both good specs and an excellent price point in devices. Lenovo last year introduced tablets for their Tab3 family, even with an affordable price, the specs left a lot to be desired. Now they seem to be working on adding a new member to that family, the Tab3 8 Plus with better specs than what were seen last time around. The device was recently sighted at Geekbench revealing its upgraded specs.
The new Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus is listed with the model number TB-8703F. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, paired with a 3 GB RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. The benchmark tests do paint a good picture, revealing a result of 935 for single-core and 4667 for multi-core. This means that the tablet is more than adequate for different tasks. Most of us use tablets for playing, reading or watching movies, so for these tasks this would be perfect.
Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus will sport an 8-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display. The camera specs have been upgraded and now an 8MP main and 5MP front facing cameras adorn the device. Tab3 S Plus will run Android Marshmallow.
As of yet we cannot say when Lenovo will announce this tablet or what will be its retailing price. Maybe it may stop by at the MWC 2017.
