This is the step-by-step guide to Jailbreak iOS 12.4 on iPhone/iPad without a computer. We will use Unc0ver 3.7 to Jailbreak iOS 12.4.
Apple iOS 12.4 Jailbreak is finally here. The good news comes from none other than @pwn20wnd. The developer has released Unc0ver 3.7/3.6/3.5. The latest version of Unc0ver supports Jailbreak on iOS 12.4. Previously, we saw the Unc0ver 3.3.0 which helped us Jailbreak iOS 12.2 and below.
The best part of the current Jailbreak solution is that it supports the currently available stable version of iOS. After so many years, the Jailbreak tool developers have finally achieved a milestone on the latest stable version of iOS. There is a lot of time until the release of stable iOS 13, so if you are currently enjoying iOS 12.4, you can unleash the real potential of your device by Jailbreaking it.

In case you don’t know, Jailbreak gives applications and scripts access to the root of your iPhone. In the intact form, Apple doesn’t allow any kind of modifications on its iOS. There are certain certificates which prevent any third-party or modified scripts from accessing any internal file of your iPhone’s system. When you Jailbreak your iPhone, you certainly say goodbye to all the security certificates and opt for a less secure device which has no checks in the play. This, in a way, is not a good idea, but at the same time, it gives you a lot of freedom to customize the handset or iPad. Users can change the UI of their Jailbroken iPhone, they can add new features, change the behavior of the buttons and so on.
Update 9/23/2019: Un0ver 3.7 comes with full-fledged support for all A12-A12X-powered iPhones and iPads. Jailbreakers can now get Cydia and system-wide tweak injection on the newest iPhones & iPads. This includes iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, iPad Mini, iPad 6th Gen and more devices.
Unc0ver 3.6, the tool that Jailbreaks iPhone and iPad running on iOS 12.4, supports certain devices. Here is a complete list of all the compatible iPhones and iPads.
Update 9/10/2019: Another new version of Unc0ver has been released. We have the Unc0ver 3.6.3 out now. The developer Pwn20wnd announced this today.
Update: The new Unc0ver 3.6 is now available. At the moment, the stable version is Unc0ver 3.6.1. This supports all iPhones and iPads running on iOS 12.1, 12.2, and 12.4. It also supports A12 and A12X devices.
Update: Unc0ver 3.5.3 has been released with partial support for A12-powered devices. You can now Jailbreak iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max running on iOS 12.4.
There are two methods to Jailbreak iOS 12.4. The first is by downloading and installing Unc0ver directly on your phone. For this method, no computer is required. You can just get Unc0ver 3.5 straight away on your iPhone/iPad and start the process. The 2nd process involves downloading Unc0ver 3.5.x IPA file and sideloading it via Cydia Impactor.
To keep things as portable as possible, we have opted for the first method. I applied the process on my iPhone X and I’m going to demonstrate the same below. Follow the few easy steps to Jailbreak iOS 12.4 via Unc0ver 3.5.
Update: Download Checkra1n 0.9.1 – Jailbreak iOS 13.2.2
The process is as follows.
On the iPhone, go to Settings > Storage. If you have any iOS 12 OTA files, delete them. After this, reboot your iPhone.
On the iPhone/iPad, open any browser. In the browser, open the Unc0ver.dev or ignition.fun site and search for Unc0ver. As you find Unc0ver by pwn20wnd, click on “Get” and it will begin downloading.
On the iOS 12.4 device, go to Settings > General > Device Management > click on “Trust” followed by your Apple ID and then click on Trust again.
The Unc0ver tool will appear on the Apps screen. Open it. You will find the Jailbreak button at the bottom. Click on it to start the process.
As you press the Jailbreak button, the process will begin and your phone might restart in the meanwhile. If Unc0ver freezes, you don’t need to panic. Wait for an additional 2 minutes and it should work just fine.
Cydia will be installed and appear on the Apps screen. You can open Cydia and begin modifying your iOS 12.4. That’s pretty much it.
That’s all with the whole procedure. By this time, you should be enjoying Cydia Tweaks on the iPhone. In case you wish to go back to stock iOS any moment, you can do a full restore via iTunes. If you’ve fallen into any problems, feel free to drop your comments below.
