Install xXx No Limits ROM on OnePlus 5

OnePlus 5 originally runs on Oxygen OS out of the box. OnePlus is the company that doesn’t put many restrictions on its users. OnePlus easily allows users to tweak and modify their smartphone. Because of this so-good nature of the company, developers get their hands on the phone and come up with numerous methods to customize the smartphone. It’s very easy to add extended features to the Oxygen OS running on your OnePlus 5. Oxygen OS based custom ROMs are another way to make your OnePlus 5 fly high. One such custom ROM is the xXx No Limits Custom ROM.

xXx No Limits is an OOS based custom ROM. The current version of this ROM brings features from the new OOS 4.5.8. xXx No Limits ROM as root options like SuperSU Root or the Magisk Root. You can go with the one that you find the most useful. This custom OS has performance and battery tweaks. The ROM is packed up with some lovely features like the Pixel Launcher, Nova Launcher, Adaway etc. xXx No Limits is a highly debloated ROM. You can even choose what other bloatware you want to remove from the ROM. It comes pre-loaded with Busybox. Viper4Android resides inside this ROM to make the music easy on your ears. You will also find all those funky emojis from the iOS 10. The ROM gives a choice to the users regarding what kernel they want to install. By default, this ROM will install the OOS 4.5.8 stock kernel. It also has the Xposed for Nougat, but the framework is very unstable. Installing Xposed totally is a user’s choice. Xposed can be easily uninstalled as well if it doesn’t work right in your OnePlus 5. The best feature is the AROMA installer. All the features that are mentioned above and that you will find upon installation, you can make a selection between them using the AROMA installer. xXx No Limits is available in the form of a ZIP file. You need a custom recovery running on your phone to flash the ROM. TWRP recovery is already available for the phone. This ROM doesn’t need the GApps package to be flashed. Follow the steps given in the guide below to Install xXx No Limits ROM custom ROM on OnePlus 5  using TWRP custom recovery.

Preparation

• This ROM is only for the OnePlus 5. Do not try this on any other phone.
• Charge your phone good enough so that it lasts during the installation process.
• Backup your important contacts, call logs and text messages. Also, create a Nandroid and EFS backup. This is highly recommended because we will be factory resetting the phone during the flashing process.
• InstallTWRP Recovery on your OnePlus 5
• Follow this guide carefully.

Install xXx No Limits ROM Custom ROM on OnePlus 5

1. Download xXx_NoLimits_2.5_OP5_Oxygen_4.5.8.zip file. Copy the downloaded ROM file to your phone’s internal or external storage.
2. Boot your OnePlus 5 into TWRP recovery. To do so, power down your OnePlus 5. Now turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power Key. As soon as the phone boots up, leave the keys and let it boot into TWRP.
3. Once you are in the TWRP recovery, tap Wipe > Factory reset your OnePlus 5.
4. Now get back to the main menu in TWRP recovery and tap Install > Locate and select the xXx_NoLimits_2.5_OP5_Oxygen_4.5.8.zip > Swipe finger to start the installation.
5. As soon as ROM installation begins, it will bring up AROMA installer. Choose all the features that you want in the ROM. Proceed with the on-screen instructions to finish the installation.
6. Once done, reboot your phone into the system.
7. First boot can take up to 10 minutes. Let the phone prepare the new system. You will have the new xXx No Limits ROM up and running on your phone now. That’s all.
