Install Xperia Z5’s Camera on your Xperia Z3, Z2 and Z1

Sony has always been a winner in the photography department. Sony always equips its devices with the best possible Camera shooters, and it also adds a cool Camera application to allow its users to make the best use of the shooter placed at the back. Recently Sony released its all new Xperia Z5 family. Sony equipped Z5 with world’s best camera lens. Sony Xperia Z5’s is packed with Sony’s camera application v2.0. Camera application on the Z5 includes a number of features and enhancements alongside a new UI that you won’t find in the camera application of older smartphones such as Z1, Z2 and Z3. Xperia Z5’s camera has been ported to the Xperia Z1, Z2, and Z3 family by Team EXR and Team HS. Basically the camera has been made to work with all Xperia Z family devices carrying a 20.7 MP G Lens shooter. In case you’re willing to install it on your Z1, Z2 or Z3, you can give it a try as it’s found working perfectly well on these devices without any mainstream issues.

In order to install this Camera application on your older Xperia Z device, you need a custom recovery running on it. The MOD is available in the form of a flashable zip file. You can simply flash the zip and enjoy the Camera v2.0 application from Xperia Z5 with all new enhanced features and a new UI on your smartphone. Compatible devices with this MOD include Sony Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact, Z2, Z3 and Z3 Compact. Pre-installation instructions

1. This MOD is compatible with Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact, Z2, Z3 and Z3 Compact only. Do not try flashing this on any other device as it may result in bricking it.
2. Make sure that your device is running on Android Lollipop. You can update your Xperia Z smartphone to Android Lollipop using guides available on our site.
3. Charge your phone up to 50% to avoid power issues during the flashing process.
4. You must have a custom recovery installed on your phone. Check out our custom recoveries section to find recovery for your Xperia handset.
5. Just to be on a safe side, create a Nandroid backup of your existing system. It can become handy if your phone gets brick. You will be able to fix it easily without any hiccups here and there.
6. Read the instructions carefully to get Camera 2.0 running fine on your device.

How To Install Xperia Z5’s Camera on your Xperia Z3, Z2 and Z1

1. Download {EXRxTHS]Z5 Camera2.0 for 20.7MP Ver2.zip and copy it to your phone’s internal or external storage.
2. Now boot into CWM or TWRP recovery on your phone.
3. Depending on your recovery, select Install Zip or Install option.
4. Now locate the .zip file from the location you copied it to.
5. Select the .zip file and flash it.
6. Once flashed, wipe cache and dalvik cache of your device.
7. Reboot your device and find Camera 2.0 from Xperia Z5 installed in your app drawer.
8. Use Camera 2.0 and enjoy the new photography experience on your Xperia Z1, Z2 or Z3.
