Install TWRP and Root Galaxy J2

Samsung introduced a slew of devices in its low end Galaxy J series. Galaxy J2 is one of the devices in this series. Originally released back in September 2015, this device boasts off a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Samsung used Exynos 3475 Quad Core CPU to power up these devices. 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage are a part of this device. Galaxy J2 has a 5 MP camera at its back on the front it has a 2 MP camera. A 2000 mAh battery is packed under the hood. Galaxy J2 ran on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and unfortunatley, that was the only firmware this device could have. Samsung hasn’t rolled out any update for this device.

You can always install custom ROMs and flash MODs on your Galaxy J2. For this prupose you need a custom recovery and also have your handset rooted. Luckily, the TWRP recovery for Galaxy J2 is available and that means you can root it as well using this recovery. Once you have flashed TWRP on your J2, you can make the use of it to flash .zip files, clear the cache and dalvik cache, you can also formate data and system partitions manually.

Other than that, Galaxy J2 owners can load applications like Titanium Backup, Greenify, System Tuner and Root explorer to unleash the true power of their device. These applications require root access and that is why you need to root the phone after flashing TWRP. This is not it, there is a lot more you can do once you have both these custom operations performed on your phone.

Since these are custom operations, these will definitely void your phone’s warranty. While following the process, bear in mind that in case of a mishap, recovery developer or TechBeasts may not be held responsible. If everything’s clear now, we can move further to install TWRP recovery and root Galaxy J2.
