Install Lineage OS 14.1 Xiaomi Mi5 Custom ROM

You have to flash the 7.7.6 firmware if your phone is running on a different firmware before. Furthermore, you need a TWRP recovery running on your phone as well. Pre-requisites

1. Download the MIUI 7.7.6 Global Dev Firmware.

3. Now install the TWRP recovery on your Xiaomi Mi5.

Install Lineage OS 14.1 Xiaomi Mi5 Custom ROM

1. Download Lineage OS 14.1.zip file and copy it to your phone’s internal storage.
2. Download LinageOS 14.1 Root Addon and copy it to your phones internal storage.
3. Download Gapps Mini or Micro for Android 7.1 and copy it to your phone’s internal storage.
4. Boot your Xiaomi Mi5 into the TWRP recovery mode.
5. Tap Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select System, Cache and Data > Wipe all these.
6. Now in TWRP’s main menu, Install > Locate and select Lineage OS 14.1.zip file > Swipe screen to flash.
7. Get back to the main menu in TWRP, tap Install > Locate and select Lineage OS 14.1 Root Addon > Swipe screen to flash.
8. Once again get back to the main menu in TWRP, tap Install > Locate and select Gapps package > Swipe screen to flash.
9. After flashing all these files, reboot your phone to the system.
