Preparations needed to install Ditto Note 3 ROM

Let’s head towards the ROM flashing guide.. Before we do so, here are some pre-requisites you must have:

      • Your Galaxy Note 2 must be rooted and have a custom recovery installed. Follow this guide to root and install a custom Recovery.(Although the title specifies that the guide is for Galaxy Note 2 running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but it will also work fine if you are running a lower version of Android or any other custom ROM).
      • Make sure that your device is Samsung Galaxy Note 2 – GT N7100. Do not try this on any other device. Check your device’s mode in Settings > About Device > Model.
      • Make sure that you’ve battery charged over at least 60%. It is highly recommended in order to prevent any mishap while flashing.
      • Make sure that you backup all your important media content, Contacts, Call Logs & Messages.
      • Boot in to TWRP Recovery (Volume Up + Home Button + Power Key) and backup your current ROM, take EFS backup, also backup the Modem..
      • All set? Follow the guidelines below carefully to the letter now..

How to Install DN3 V3 ROM:

      • Boot into TWRP recovery, to  do so, turn off your device and then turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Up+ Home Button + Power Key. Select Wipe >Advanced Wipe > Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache.
      • Download the Ditto Note 3 V3 ROM and place it on your phone’s sd card.
      • Boot into TWRP Recovery again, select install > ditto note 3.zip file and flash it.
      • The ROM will take a while to get flashed. As soon as the installation is done, factory reset the phone using the wipe option in TWRP recovery.
      • Reboot now and setup your new ROM in order to enjoy the features of Galaxy Note 3.

Troubleshooting:

In case you are facing wifi issues after flashing this ROM, that is due to the old bootloader. You need to flash new bootloader on new ROM. Here is how you can get the new bootloader.

Here’s how you can flash Dr. Ketan’s Wifi Fix Patch:

      • Download and extract Dr Ketan’s Wifi Patch from HERE.
      • Open Odin.
      • Put your phone in download mode. To do so ,turn it off and then turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home Button + Power Key, then press volume up to continue.
      • Connect it to your PC. the ID:COM box should turn blue in Odin now.
      • Select PDA tab, and select the downloaded Dr Ketan’s Wifi Patch file.
      • Hit start. It should flash the wifi patch quickly. As soon as your device reboots, try turning on wifi and it should be working.
      • In case you are currently on an older bootloader, then download and extract this BL_MJ5_DN3 bootloader and flash it using Odin and skip Dr Ketan’s Wifi Fix.

We’re sure that you will love this ROM, don’t forget to donate to the original developer in order to support him for this awesome work.

  • Is their smart pause and smart scroll also added in this ROM because in the screen shot I am not able to see that

  • Hello Sir! Thanks for all the replies , one another question I want to askyou and that is , Is there any method to add IR Blaster in Note II, if it's possible then plz tell me the whole procedure for doing so

    • @mustafabohra:disqus It is not possible as Note 2 doesn't have infrared. You can install the app ''Root App Uninstall'' from the play store and uninstall system apps.

  • Also I want to know that how can I uninstall System apps from my Note II. I have installed S Translator in my rooted Note II and since the my Samsung account has stopped working, my phone crashes everytime. Please tell me how to remove it, I shall be highly grateful to you if you tell me and thanks in advance

  • Thanks Sir! Just one more thing and that is , Please check if the link for ditto Note 3 is broken or what because i am not able to download it and I am getting speed of 6 kBps only and after downloading 200 - 230 MB my download automatically gets cancelled. Please check it and update the link if it is broken or it will be best if you please upload a torrent file for it, Please Sir i need it desperately , please provide the way as soon as possible

  • I installed that app and removed S Translator and after rebooting also it says Samsung Account session expired and when I try to sign it then again and agian it says that Samsng Account has stopped working. Please tell me what to do?

    • Perform a data wipe through recovery and things should be fine for you, if issue still persists then flash a stock firmware on your device, find the tutorial on our site, after you flash stock firmware, boot into recovery mode wipe data / cache.

      • Ok thanks for the reply but please check the ditto note 3 link . I request you to please provide a toorent file for the same please sir i want it desperately.

        • @mustafabohra:disqus the developer does not allow to mirror his rom, otherwise i can upload this rom and provide the link here, the download is pretty slow, i know that but you'll have to wait for it to complete.

          • Click on the "original developer" in the last para of the above post, it should take you to the developer's page.

          • hi @mustafabohra:disqus/@usamamujtaba:disqus /@denilchitrakar:disqus ,Even I am not able to download as it stops after downloading~220MB..Any other place where we can get the zip file?

          • @disqus_juCsusCEME:disqus sorry, but this is uploaded by the developer and he does not allow the mirrors.. you'll have to download it using this link only, try some other internet connection.

          • @disqus_juCsusCEME:disqus , You can go to original developer page , click on downloads tab there and download the torrent file which is for DN3 v2, the after flashing it download OTA Updater zip file , which is available in original page only for v3.1.1 and the flash that file also after flashing v2 and be careful to flash OTA updater file only after first boot . after rebooting go to OTA updater and then download DN3 v3.1.1 and flash it

          • Thanks..I was able to download by switching to wired connection instead over wifi and it did the trick..Thanks again, really appreciate your help!

  • Followed above instructions A to Z. Thats it. Now I have DN3 V3 installed in my note 2 gtn7100. Working perfectly. Thanks a lot.

  • Please clear one more doubt of mine . Is smart pause only for Samsung Stock videos or all videos and how to flas v3.1 after I have installed v2

    • @mustafabohra:disqus Smart pause works on stock video player, so what ever video you play in stock video player you will be able to use smart pause.
You flash the V3 simply by following the method explained above.

  • Hey I flashed Ditto Note3 v2 but I am not able to get daydream, please tell me where is it. I even tried search option in setting but when I click on it nothing happens

  • I installed DN3 v2 and when i searched for daydream using search option in settings I was not able to find it please tell me qhere is it or how to get it back . Do I have to flash v3 for that or something else has to be done

      • No not there. Actually what is happening is when I type daydream in search bar there comes a option of daydream but when I click on it More display options tab gets opened and there also I am not able to see daydream . Please help me out

        • @mustafabohra:disqus Daydream might not work in Note 2. Its just a dummy option ported, but doesn't work actually.

          • @mustafabohra:disqus The feature might not be activated by the developer in this ROM, as it is a custom ROM we can't guarantee each and everything working properly.
