How to install busybox now?
How to check if the device is properly rooted or not?
What to do once you’re rooted?
Rooting your phone gives you complete access over all the data which is apparently locked by the manufacturers. This includes removal of the factory restrictions and making changes to the internal system and the operating system. Gaining the root access gives you the privileges to install various applications to enhance the performance of your device, allows you to remove the built-in applications/programs, helps you to upgrade the battery life of your device & install the apps which require the root access for the proper functionality and modify your device in so many other ways e.g using mods and flashing custom recoveries and custom ROMs. Here’s our collection of 10 Best Root Apps.
That’s all. Please consider a donation to the developer for his hardwork on this application. Just in case you got any queries or you face any difficulties regarding this post, feel free to reach us through the comment box below. We will try our best to help you out.

Hey Usama thanks a lot for the information, I have one question though. How do I know if my phone has locked bootloader or not? It is unlocked from factory, no carrier. Thank you
@andresliconagrotewold:disqus
you can also root your device keeping the bootloader locked, here you go: https://techbeasts.com/2014/06/30/how-to-root-sony-xperia-z1-compact-14-4-a-0-108-firmware-locked-bootloader/
But if you wish to unlock it, then here you go: https://techbeasts.com/2013/12/18/how-to-unlock-bootloader-of-sony-xperia-devices-guide/
There's a code in this guide, running that will tell you if its unlocked / locked or the unlock is allowed or not. I hope this helps you. Good Luck.
Hi Usama. Many thanks for the guide! My bootloader is currently locked (but allowed it to be unlocked). If I follow 'Method 2' above, will this result in my data being erased? Thanks again and great work!
@disqus_WXlpefBSKL:disqus non of these methods will erase data or requires unlocking the bootloader :) go with method 1 and it should work perfectly great. Good Luck!
This doesn't work for me, for some reason. When I run SuperSU, I get an error message saying 'SuperSU couldn't install the SU binary'. Any help?
@disqus_jwAbxn6CZm:disqus you will have to update supersu manually.. Just download the supersu.zip file and unzip it, you will find an apk file under it, extract that apk file and install it manually on your phone and things should be fine. You can download latest SuperSu.zip file here: download.chainfire.eu/supersu
@Usama thank you very much for your help. I forgot to mention that I also tried to manually update SuperSU, but it also didn't work. However I did manage to root my phone using the first method, the one for the unlocked bootloader. And that's what's confusing me most. When I type *#*#7378423#*#* and check Service Info > Configuration I can see "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes". From what I saw online, that should mean that my bootloader is still locked. But your method for locked bootloader failed, and your method for unlocked bootloader did it.
Either way, my phone is rooted now. Thanks for your effort.
I did your guide, but when I open SuperSU he says: SuperSU couldn't install the SU binary (I'm italian so the text is italian, but I translete it). I use the last version of SuperSU, how can I do?
@disqus_WG8DErYafn:disqus You will have to update it manually. You can download latest SuperSu.zip file from here: http://download.chainfire.eu/452/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip
Unzip the file and you will find a SuperSU apk, install that APK manually on your phone, this will update SuperSu and should resolve the issues. Good Luck.
I did, but the message was the same. However I resolved, because the connection had to be on. Thaks!
@disqus_WG8DErYafn:disqus That's great. Stay connected with us!
dose the first way open the bootloader ?
@disqus_f1ClmEL2h2:disqus This guide is for locked bootloaders.
I have an iMac, ¿How do i do? :c
@disqus_goQqh6zulh:disqus you will use the required tools for MAC, in case those aren't available for MAC you may have to find a windows PC or use a VM ware for windows if there is one available for MAC.
Should my phone be turned on or off when rooting? Also should it be on/off when installing dual recovery? Thanks
