Samsung brought up it’s 3rd generation Galaxy Tab in May, 2013. The device sported a 7.0 inches display, under the hood a 1.2 GHz dual core processor is set alongside a RAM of 1 GBs. At the back it sports a 3.15 MP camera and a 1.3 MP on the front as well while a massive 4000 mAh battery is placed under the hood. Galaxy Tab 3 comes modeled under different variants having WiFi, 3G and 4G capabilities. Earlier we posted a tutorial for installing a custom recovery on the SM T210 and T210R variants (both are WiFi) of the device, but missed the method to root these devices, so in the following post we will be going through a method to root em’.
Some of you might be new to rooting and installing a custom recovery, so to make the things more clear, we will be having a look on a small intro to root and custom recovery and also the reason to get both the things on your device.

This includes removal of the factory restrictions and making changes to the internal system and the operating system. Gaining the root access gives you the privileges to install various applications to enhance the performance of your device, allows you to remove the built-in applications/programs, helps you to upgrade the battery life of your device & install the apps which require the root access for the proper functionality and modify your device in so many other ways e.g using mods and custom roms. By installing custom recovery, you can flash custom roms in the phone easily. Custom recovery also let’s you backup your current rom and restore it in case of any mishap. There is a laundry list of things you can do after having your device rooted and installed the custom recovery, now once you’re rooted and have installed custom recovery, go ahead and enjoy it on your phone. Here’s our collection of 10 Best Root Apps.
Here are some instructions that you must follow in order to gain root access on your Galaxy Note Tab 3 7.0 SM-T210 or T210R

after root i lost wifi?????
@dabosskd:disqus rooting has nothing to do with your WiFi. However if it's still not working, please flash stock firmware and root it again, it may fix your issue.
i went into cwm and clear the cache and everything and factory reset it and the wifi is working again and its still rooted but i dont have the su no more
@dabosskd:disqus factory reset cannot wipe root access. This is quite strange. If it happened you may root your device again. Please make sure that you're doing it using the custom recovery we linked in above. You need to re-read the whole guide carefully.
everything is running flawless now i followed every step carefully cant i just download or install su
@dabosskd:disqus can you try one thing, please download this file: http://download.chainfire.eu/382/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip
Copy it to your phone, and flash it through CWM. Please let me know if it roots your device or not. Thanks in Adv.
but its already rooted
@dabosskd:disqus then what problem are you facing at the moment?
i just dont have the superuser app on there anymore but i ran several root checks and even titanium backup says its rooted
@dabosskd:disqus go to Google Play Store and install SuperSu from there. Good Luck and thanks for letting me know.
dont need to now the update you had me download put it back on there but i do have one question on this galaxy tab is there a way to move apps to the sd card
@dabosskd:disqus Yes. Goto play store and look for "Gl2Sd" and install it. It works flawlessly to move apps to sd card. Good Luck
only moves games i tried that app unless im missing something
@dabosskd:disqus Gl 2 Sd is the best choice available around. I've tried on my phone and moved all games having data above 1 GB to my 64 GB sd card.
my bad i was talking about a whole different app it moved alot to my sd card you are correct sir
@dabosskd:disqus no problem Have a great day.
Hey just having an issue i Installed TWRP Recovery copied the zip file to the sd card then told it to install from the sd card and i keep getting package failed. Am I missing Something?
@joe_trotter:disqus can you please try one thing? try flashing this file the same way you're trying that one.: http://download.chainfire.eu/382/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip
Let me know if you get your device rooted or not. Thanks in Adv.
it's still have "signature verification failed"
I'm getting an error : failed to verify whole-file signature
@disqus_1aXGIKLA34:disqus did you extract the .zip file? if so then you're not supposed to do so. Just flash the .zip file straightly in CWM recovery or TWRP recovery.
I got the same problem even i didnt not extract the zip file.
Yup.. me too... failed to verify on both your download link and another one too.
@graememilligan:disqus link for CWM is working fine.
I've got the same problem, something must be wrong in thiz .zip file
Very nice site! Wonderful Tutorial! Thanks Buddy!
@disqus_C9SIvuY0IT:disqus thanks for the appreciation. Stay connected with us :)
how can i remove TWRP recovery as it didn't work for me
@browndarren:disqus you will have to flash stock firmware in order to remove TWRP. or find stock recovery and flash that, btw what didn't work for you? It's working perfectly as you can see the comments.
TWRP would not launch after flashing just standard recovery. I have now sorted it by downloading a pre rooted flash and flashed that onto the dvice. thanks anyway
Where should I download the cwm recovery? in tab or pc?
pls help me
@disqus_O1Z8w3nFQT:disqus download on PC. Please follow the guide carefully.
sorry i have done this but cannot turn on the wireless.
@disqus_WqcZ4hX5pi:disqus what problem are you facing? Please make sure that you followed the tutorial properly. It has nothing to do with the wireless. However if you're having this problem then this guide can help you https://techbeasts.com/2013/10/12/how-to-install-stock-firmware-on-samsung-android-smartphones/
@@usama thanks for getting back to me that soon. The Problem is that i get a SIGNATURE Verification failed at the update. And my System changed from being a sm-t210 To a sm-t211. When rebooting i cannot change the wifi tab To switch ON
@disqus_WqcZ4hX5pi:disqus boot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache see if it works or try resetting factory data.. it should fix your wifi issue.
I just got my new tablet and im trying to root it. But does this: “Install Zip>Chooe Zip from SD Card > Android-armeabi-universal-root.zip > Yes” mean I need an external sd card put into my tablet. Please awnser.
@disqus_Nf2AocirCq:disqus you can use internal or external. Both will work.
Where would I copy it if I don't have an external SD card? When i reboot to install the zip file from the sd card. It gives me a failure message, something about the sd card not being mounted.
@rob_kerr:disqus You can copy to your phone's internal storage.
Thanks, thanks so much Usama, :)
