How To Extract System Dump Of Android Devices On Windows

Requirements:

1. A Computer with Windows 7/8 installed.
2. A System.img file from any Android Firmware.
3. A Zip Archive Utility Installed.
4. Download the Following files:

• ext4_unpacker_exe.zip
• ext2explore-2.2.71.zip

How To Extract System Dump:

1. Extract both the zip files you downloaded from above.
2. Now launch the ext4_unpacker_exe and click the open folder icon.
3. Now navigate to System.img file you saved on your computer, highlight it and click Open.
4. Hit the Save as ext4 button.
5. Now select the Folder where you want to save the file, don’t forget to add .ext4 extension at the end of the file
6. Click the Save button.
7. You will see the Progress bar unpacking the image, once it is done, run ext2explore-2.2.71
8. Navigate to File > Open Image Option.
9. Select the .ext4 file you unpacked and Click Open.
10. Now Highlight the .ext4 file and Click Save.
11. Select the Folder where you want to save the files and click OK.
12. Wait till all the system dump Files are extracted in your desired Folder.
13. Now open that folder to see all the System Dump Files.
14. That is it, now you have your System dump.
