Honor V9 officially announced with 6GB RAM, Kirin 960 & 3D-modeling cameras

Honor V9 has officially been announced in China today. The smartphone will be announced at the MWC on 26th February with the name of Honor 8 Pro. Honor V9 is an impressive flagship device with a metal build bound to give high end flagships run for their money. Not only is the device impressive in looks but also in the features that it has.

Honor V9 features a 5.7-inch Quad HD 1440 x 2560 resolution display. Under the hood the smartphone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC which is paired with the Mali-G71 GPU. The device will have 6GB RAM on board, a feature that manufacturers are equipping their flagships with and there will be a 64GB and 128GB internal storage options. The smartphone features a 12MP dual camera at the rear which will allow users to take impressive images. In addition a laser focus feature will also allow 3D modeling and give users the opportunity to print images in 3D. It will be interesting to see how this feature pans out in practical.

Honor V9 is powered by an impressive 4000mAh battery  which ensures that the phone will last the whole day without a recharge. The device will run the Huawei’s latest EMUI 5.0 which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Moreover the additional features include a fingerprint scanner is placed at the rear of the device, a dual-SIM setup and a USB Type-C port. In terms of prices, the model with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage will be priced at $377, the 6GB RAM with 64GB native storage will be priced at $436 and the 6GB RAM variant with 128 GB internal storage will be priced at $508. These prices may vary a little depending on the markets they launch in.
