Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are on the horizon these days. We have seen the flagship devices from almost all the manufacturers for this year. We are merely a couple of weeks away from the official launch of the Galaxy Note 9. As soon as the air is free of the Galaxy Note 9, a wave of the Google Pixel smartphones will take over. Google is preparing for the official unveiling of the Pixel smartphones and it doesn’t seem to have full control over the information regarding these phones. Things have been spilling out of Google’s hands. At the time of writing this post, we have a handful of information regarding the hardware, software, and looks of the Pixel devices.
It’s time, to sum up, everything that has floated about the Pixel smartphones so far. In this post, I will try to put up all the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL News, Rumors, Specs, Features, Price and Release Date. The entire post is made based on the speculations, anticipations, rumors, and leaks that have made it to the internet so far. While checking out the upcoming Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL, don’t forget to taste a pinch of salt as the rumors do not always turn out to be true.

Back in May, it was reported that Google will join hands with LG to build the display for its upcoming Pixel smartphones. It was also reported that Pixel phones will have a notch. Now that we have got a number of leaked images, the notch has already been confirmed. Like every year, Google had to choose a manufacturer to build the Pixel 3 devices. For the last couple of years, Google worked with LG and HTC. This time around, Google has chosen Foxconn as its Pixel partner. The device will be exclusive to Verizon in the US.
OnLeaks recently revealed the Pixel 3 to have a 5.3-inch and Pixel 3 XL to have a 6.2 inch display. The smaller variant is getting a 0.3-inch display bump and the Pixel 3 XL is getting a 0.2-inch display bump. There is a bad news for the Pixel lovers, the Google Pixel 3 is coming with a notch. Yes, you heard it right. Google is insanely following Apple’s footsteps and bringing the notch on its phones. Another interesting thing to note here is the presence of dual cameras in the notch. Google is going with a single shooter at the back, however, it’s adding a dual-shooter setup on the front.
The chin of the phone will have dual speakers. Google is probably going with the 19:9 ratio here to make more room for the display with the help of the notch. Google Pixel 3 will have a glass back. The glass back and notch have been confirmed with the help of recent leaks. The Google Pixel 3 leaked in black color and the Pixel 3 XL recently leaked in white color. Google will reportedly trim down the bezels of the phone as well.
As far as the rear of the device is concerned, there is no such huge difference between the Pixel 2 and the upcoming Pixel 3. The Pixel 3 has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a single camera shooter accompanied by an LED flash. The Google logo can be spotted at the bottom. Volume rockers are power buttons are placed on the side. A USB Type-C port has been added at the bottom of this phone.
Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL are Google’s flagship. There is no reason that Google will compromise on the hardware end. The Pixel 3 will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU accompanied by Adreno 630 GPU. The internal storage of the device is expected to be 64GB and 128GB with a RAM of 4GB. As mentioned, this device will make the use of USB Type-C for charging and other connectivity.
The phones are coming with a fingerprint scanner placed at the back. The battery capacity of these phones is still unknown. However, if we get our hands on anything regarding the battery and other specs that we don’t know so far, we will be the first ones to update the post.
The leaked images have confirmed that Google is going with a single shooter at the back. It’s unclear what will be the capacity of this camera. Google is a master when it comes to software optimizations for the camera. We saw a 12MP camera on last year’s Pixel phones. It was a single shooter. Google successfully achieved the Bokeh effect with the help of the single shooter back then. In fact, Google Pixel phones grabbed the top positions and remained the best camera phones unless the Galaxy S9 Plus and Huawei P20 Pro came out.
Another interesting development is the addition of dual cameras on the front. The notch reveals that there are two cameras on the front of these phones. Google achieved quite a lot with the help of single shooters last year. We have absolutely no idea what Google wants to do with the dual cameras on the front. It would be really interesting to see what innovation Google is about to come up. We are keeping a close eye on the camera developments of the Google Pixel 3.
Google has announced Android P. The Android P has come across multiple beta stages and its close to the final release now. Google has set a trend of releasing its new Pixel phone running on the latest version of Android. Last year, the Google Pixel 2 pulled out Android Oreo. We are expecting Pixel 3 phones to pull out Android P this time around. Here is our list of the devices that will get Android P update.
Pixel 3 phones are coming with a notch. The fingerprint scanner is mounted at the back. We are not sure whether this phone will have the face unlock or not. The glass back of the Pixel 3 gave birth to the rumors about the wireless charging capabilities of the device.
Just a day ago, news about Google Pixel Stand surfaced. The Pixel Stand allegedly happens to be the wireless charging dock for the upcoming Google phones. The Google Pixel Stand is also rumored to have the assistant integration.
Since the day Google said goodbye to its Nexus branding, the price tag hasn’t been on Google’s priority list. We saw Google Pixel coming out with a price tag of $649. The Pixel 2 having 64 GB internal storage also started at $649. However, same was not the case with the Google Pixel XL. The original Google Pixel XL having a 128GB storage came ou at $869 while the same storage variant of the Pixel 2 was priced at $949. Here are the exact figures.
In 2016 and 2017, Google released the Pixel devices in the month of October. If the trend continues, we will see the Pixel 3 duo coming out in October 2018.
That’s all we know about the upcoming Google phones so far. Only time will tell what rumors take a real shape. Don’t forget to tell us about your expectations from Google. Drop your thoughts in the comment box below.
