Galaxy S9+ latest benchmarks are impressive for an Android flagship for 2018

Galaxy S9+ is the bigger version of the Galaxy S9, both of which have been rumored to be announced during the Mobile World Congress 2018 trade show. However, from the look of things, it definitely looks like you will be interested in hearing about the performance of the Galaxy S9+ rather than the smaller counterpart.

A Geekbench benchmarking result shows that thanks to the Snapdragon 845, the flagship is able to post these high scores. Lots of readers might comment saying that the smartphone is still lagging behind the iPhone X, but let us make the conversation relevant to Android flagships for now. Another contributor to this performance is going to be 6GB of RAM, which is the same amount that is present in the Galaxy Note 8.

In comparison, the Galaxy S9 has been rumored to come with just 4GB of RAM, so you already have a reason to upgrade to the bigger screen flagship. The sad part about this news is that the fingerprint scanner is still going to be present at the back but since it will be located below the camera lens, the average user will easily be able to access the scanner.

The design might not be the most encouraging thing about the Galaxy S9+ because earlier leaked renders provided a hint at the design of the Galaxy S9+ and it left us heartbroken that we will not be able to see thinner bezels when compared to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+

As for the chipset, the Exynos 9810 powering the two phones will be made on the more advanced and efficient 10nm LPP process, while for American customers, you will get the Snapdragon 845 version instead.

If you’re impressed with these results then start saving up because Samsung might charge you a higher price tag for this model.
