Galaxy S9 could get the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio but with record screen-to-body ratio

If Samsung shaves the bezels off the Galaxy S9, it would mean an even better design than the Galaxy S8. Rumor has it that while the upcoming flagship will have the same aspect ratio as the Galaxy S8, which is 18.5:9, Samsung is aiming to reduce the bezels on the upcoming phone to a new level.

There has already been a rumor circulating around that the Galaxy S9 could come with a screen-to-body ratio of between 89-90 percent, so you’ll get more screen in comparison to the Galaxy S8. The specifications are a bit confusing at this time. Previously, when you were heading out to make a decision to purchase the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+, there was not much difference between the two other than a bigger battery and larger screen on the Galaxy S8+.

Now it looks like you might actually have better choices on your hand. For example, the Galaxy S9 has been rumored to come with 4GB of RAM, while its bigger brother will have 6GB of RAM. The Galaxy S9+ has also been rumored to get a dual-camera, but like all rumors, we will be waiting for updates to debunk this one shortly.

The Exynos 9810 powering the two phones will be made on the 10nm LPP process, which is more advanced. This will result in the chipset delivering more performance.

It might also be easier for you to reach the fingerprint sensor on both models. According to a leaked phone case render, the fingerprint reader positioning on the Galaxy S9 is still going to be at the back, but you will not be making a fuss when trying to unlock the phone.

The smartphone could also feature its own AI engine thus making it smarter than the competition, but if the Infinity Display is going to better than the Galaxy S9, then buyers might be willing to purchase it. It will all depend on what your priorities are.
