Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ dual SIM models might give you dual VoLTE in return

As we move closer and closer to the end of 2017, Samsung and LG could be the first companies to release their Android-based flagships. When a new year starts, we’re also hearing about new LTE speeds that outdoes the previous-generation by miles.

With the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, you should not just expect raw computing performance from the Exynos 9810 and Snapdragon 845, but also from the wireless networking speeds angle. No, we’re not talking about the devices featuring Bluetooth 5.0 or 802.11ac Wi-Fi, but mobile internet speeds.

Samsung might be pushing the release dates of both the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, which could be the reason why the latest rumor states that the company might be testing out the dual SIM versions of these phones. While the possibilities of carrying two numbers in a single smartphone will bring a wide smile to your face, there is yet another feature that you might be interested in hearing about; support for dual VoLTE.

Instead of a single SIM card slot being able to provide support for VoLTE, it looks like dual VoLTE support might be imminent on both of these phones. So what happens if both phones do provide support for this standard? It will mean that irrespective of where you insert your SIM card, if your carrier supports it, then you will be able to use VoLTE or ‘Voice Over LTE’ to make voice and video calls to anyone on the planet.

These voice or video calls should be a crisp and clear experience because the VoLTE standard is supposed to be super-fast and super reliable.

This is just another reason why you should wait to upgrade to the dual SIM version of the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+. Are you thinking of saving up money for one?
