Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has received a build of unofficial LineageOS 16. This means that the Galaxy S7 Edge owners can now taste the Android Pie on their phone. Galaxy S7 Edge – Brief Overview

Samsung released the Galaxy S7 back in March 2016. The Galaxy S7 came along with the S7 Edge. Preparations

• This guide is only for Exynos Galaxy S7 Edge. Do not try on any other phone.
• Backup each and everything on the phone.
• Charge the phone up to 50%.
• Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking on the phone.
• Use OEM Data Cable to connect the phone to the computer when needed.
• Follow the remaining steps carefully.

Downloads

• Download & install TWRP Custom Recovery on Galaxy S7 Edge
  • Create a Nandroid Backup after installing TWRP.
• Google Gapps for Android Pie LineageOS 16
• lineage-16.0-20180917-UNOFFICIAL-herolte.zip
• Magisk.zip
  • Copy Gapps, LineageOS 16 and Magisk.zip files to the phone’s internal storage.

Install Galaxy S7 Edge Android Pie LineageOS 16

1. Boot the Galaxy S7 Edge into TWRP Recovery mode.
2. In TWRP, click on Install > Install Zip > Locate and select LineageOS ROM.zip file. Flash this file now.
3. Get back to the main menu in TWRP, click on Install once again.
4. Click on Install Zip > Locate and select Gapps.zip file this time and flash it.
5. Once again, get back to the main menu, click on Install > Install Zip > Select the Magisk.zip file this time and flash it.
6. In the end, go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select Cache & Dalvik Cache > Swipe to wipe.
7. Reboot the phone into the system now.
8. You will find the S7 Edge running on latest Android Pie now.
