Galaxy Note 8 special edition will make you buy an iPhone X after you see its price tag

Special edition devices are always a premium level up against the regular version and these phones look very special from all angles. What is not special about them is the price tag and if you heard the price Samsung is asking for its Galaxy Note 8 special edition, you’ll immediately have an iPhone X in your hand. Trust us, the $999 price tag of the iPhone X will look cheap in front of the Galaxy Note 8 X 99 Avant Edition.

To make this ‘one in a million’ smartphone, Samsung had to work with 99 Avant, an artist who produced 99 special edition Galaxy Note 8 handsets, and if you’re interested in getting one, the official name is the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 X 99 Avant Edition. Not a terrible name, just a very long one. Also for its specifications, Samsung has not used any upgraded chipset such as the Exynos 9810 or Snapdragon 845.

All the regular hardware that was present in the regular variant of the Note 8 will be found in the Galaxy Note 8 X 99 Avant Edition, which is going to be a real disappointment for potential buyers expecting better internals. However, instead of getting 64GB of onboard storage, you’re getting 256GB of internal memory, along with a microSD card slot, which is a really nice touch from a storage perspective.

What is terrible touch though, is the fact that the Galaxy Note 8 X 99 Avant Edition is going to cost you $1,800. This is the price of almost two iPhone X models. Since this is just another collector’s item, only purveyor of the finer things in life and those with a lot of money are going to be picking this one up.

Our recommendation is that you pick up the regular version or simply get an iPhone X.
