Preparations to install Android Oreo on Galaxy C7

  • This guide is only for the C7000 model. Do not try this on any other phone.
  • Before flashing the firmware, charge your phone up to 50% to avoid power mishap.
  • Backup each and everything on your phone.
  • Enable OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging.
  • Use OEM Data cable to connect the phone to the computer.
  • Close Samsung Kies or Samsung Smart Switch if its open.
  • Follow the remaining steps with full attention.

Required downloads

  • Samsung Android USB Drivers
  • Odin 3.13.1
    • Extract the downloaded Odin.zip file to get the Odin3 v3.13.1.exe file.
  • Firmware for Galaxy C7 C7000Download
    • Extract the downloaded firmware.zip file. You will get the AP, BL, CP, CSC and HOME_CSC files.

Flashing Galaxy C7 Android Oreo Stock ROM

  1. Open Odin3 v3.13.1.exe file on your computer.
    1. Click on the AP tab and select the AP file.
    2. Now click on the BL option to select BL file.
    3. In the CP tab, select the CP file.
    4. Click on the CSC tab and select the CSC file if you want to perform a clean installation without wiping data. Otherwise, select the HOME_CSC file.
  2. Power down your Galaxy C7 now.
  3. Press and hold Volume Down + Home + Power button to boot into Download Mode.
  4. Press Volume Up on the phone to continue.
  5. Connect the phone to the computer now.
  6. Hit the “Start” button in Odin now.
  7. The firmware will flash in about 5 minutes. It will restart your phone automatically.
  8. As the phone boots up, it will be running on latest Android Oreo. That’s all.
