Galaxy A8 (2018) rumored to be launched in three colors and feature a Galaxy S8-like design

The Galaxy A8 (2018) is going to be a less powerful version of the Galaxy S8. That Infinity Display is definitely going to be a huge selling point but Samsung is also going to be announcing different color versions for the mid-ranged phone family.

Rumor has it that the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ are going to be unveiled during the CES 2018 trade show and a tweet details that the phones are going to be available in several color models. Those color models are black, gold, orchid gray, which is pretty decent according to us though the bulk of the popularity will stem from the internals as well.

When we saw that the Galaxy A series for 2017 get premium features such as a wider camera aperture, aluminum body, and water-resistance, we knew for a fact that Samsung would be bringing more to the table with the refresh. Secondly, that ‘Infinity Display’; the feature that allowed both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ to obtain an immense level of popularity and result in the huge success of both these devices, will also be present.

Sadly though, do not expect that you will be seeing the same resolution on the Galaxy A8 (2018) and that is because it belongs to the mid-range smartphone family. To please you, the phone will get impressive internals ranging from 6GB of RAM and high levels of internal storage.

The chipset will belong to the Exynos lineup but it will not be able to outclass the Exynos 8895 or the Snapdragon 835. Will it be able to provide you with an extended feature of multitasking? Absolutely, and with the amount of RAM you will get, this is definitely going to be a plus point for you.

However, these premium features also mean that the Galaxy A8 (2018) version get a much higher price tag, so for example, if the price is $499, then some users might be forced to side with the OnePlus 5T instead.
