Download Odin PC Latest Version [V 3.07]

Download Odin PC Latest Version: Odin is a software for windows developed by Samsung to update/flashing the ROMS in Samsung Android Smartphones. It is very easy to use and handy tool. The term flashing is used in the mobile language and means updating / modding your phone, it is mostly related to flashing the ROM (operating system package files) manually in your phone while the Samsung Kies software upgrades the OS automatically. Odin can also be used to root the phone, and flash mods to personalize your phone.

Installing Odin:

Installing Odin is pretty easy. There are different versions of Odin available on the web, but having the latest version installed is always recommended. In case you are using an older version, you may update to the latest one by downloading it using the link attached below, the latest version always packs up with the best functionality and the fixed bugs.

You need to download the file from the link attached below first, and then unzip the downloaded zip file and extract the files in that downloaded folder. The extracted files can be kept anywhere on your pc, these files do not need to be installed running a setup. The Odin’s exe runs the application directly.

Now after the installation process is done, head next to the connectivity. Plug in the USB cable in your phone and connect it to the PC. Turn off the phone and wait for 30 seconds and turn it on.  Open Odin and you may notice a blue highlighted box on the top left. Now, there are several options in Odin, You may select only a few depending upon your requirement. The image below is showing the standard settings for flashing a ROM / mods / rooting the phone.

Using Odin:

Check ”Auto Reboot”(Reboots your phone automatically after flashing) and ”F.Reset Time”(Resets the flash counter after upgrading the firmware). Other options (Re-partition, LED control etc) are selected upon requirement. PIT stands for partition information table, if you press the PIT button, the .pit files can be browsed in the firmware upgrade folder/package files folder, otherwise, leave it as it is if there is no .pit file.

The formats supported by Odin are *.bin, *.tar & *tar.md5. The firmware files usually come in *.tar.md5 format, you can apply these files using the PDA button in Odin. Once you have done setting up odin according to your requirements, you need to press the ”Start” button and start the flashing process, as soon as the process is finished, your device will restart automatically and you will see a ”Pass” notification on a green background on the top left corner. That’s all!

For your device to work with ODIN, you need to put it in download mode in order to start flashing the files. To do so turn off your phone and then turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home Button + Power key simultaneously and the press Volume Up key to continue,  your phone should boot into the download mode. After that connect it to your PC and start using ODIN.

      • @usamamujtaba:disqus Thanks for your reply :)
Please can you explain, how to use these .tgz and .zip files with I9003_Odin3 v1.82 ?
My phone completely dead (dead boot)
I use medusa jtag box. and then can i boot up using odin?
Please if you explain it, i'll highly appreciate it!
Is this rom work with my phone?
        Build - GRK39F
        Baseband - I9020XXKF1
        Bootloader - I9020XXKA3
        Please let me know ASAP!
        Thanks.

        • @disqus_hwIkieVXwm:disqus if your phone was bricked, you may be on risk flashing a new rom. Make sure that you choose a right rom matching your model number i.e I9020A. You need to explore and find the right one for you. If the roms listed above with the Baseband and Bootloader are for I9020A then go for it and the process should be safe to flash it in your Galaxy Nexus S.

          • @usamamujtaba:disqus Yes it's bricked.(dead boot) i can't go to recovery mode or download mode. :(
dear can you help me to repair it?
            thanks for respond.

          • @disqus_hwIkieVXwm:disqus Dear the only solution now is, take your phone to the market they will either replace the bootloader or they will replace the board. That's how it will be fixed.

          • If the samsung logo is still being displayed at the boot, then its not hard bricked yet.
Boot into recovery, wipe data and cache, then flash the stock ROM again.

          • If in case the samsung logo is not being displayed, am afraid its hard bricked. U have to take it to the service station.
Don't lose patience while flashing a phone.

    • @disqus_9VYeBZKtEa:disqus it is compatible with GN 2. The odin 3.0.7 takes a few seconds to load the PDA file so you might need to wait a little when you give it the file.
If you are not facing this issue, then kindly explain us, we may try to resolve it.

    • @rymiranda:disqus you can't update it to 4.2.2 at the moment. Samsung will skip this update as we posted about it earlier. You will get 4.3 update in the month of November or December.

  • Hello, I bought a Galaxy Note 8 from China last month...has not Google Play. Runs 4.2.1. Will this update help or should I wait to see if the next upgrade will let me install Google Play. Otherwise, is there anyway to root this device and get this Chinese blocks off my Note? Thanks!

    • @gregcardenas:disqus Odin will work with your device. But this is no update, this is just a flash tool for Samsung Devices.
I will soon make a full guide for your Galaxy Note 8.0, and Yes rooting Galaxy Note 8.0 will help you get rid of the Chinese blocks as you can flash an mods / custom roms or unlock anything.

  • Hello, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 1 GT7000 Android ICS 4.0.4, I would like to root/tweak it. Can u suggest the best compatible ROM? Can U also guide me how to upgrade it into Jelly Bean Android OS? And which OS is the best suited for my phone? Your guidance and advice are greatly appeciated. Thanks!

  • what are the uses for the PDA, BOOTLOADER, PHONE, CSC and UMS option of odin?
Also can you give information on the uses for all the options group on the left side of the screen?

  • I receive a message on my phone when I start my phone saying "Unfortunately, SuperSU has stopped working"
