Google Play Services is an essential part of an Android smartphone. Google Play Services play the role of a backbone for all the applications running on your Android smartphone. The purpose of Play Services is to keep your Google accounts synced with the apps running on your phone. These Play Services are also responsible for keeping your apps connected with the Google Play Store. These services are also responsible for authentication for all the Google Services within your smartphone.

Google Play Services can get sluggish at times. These services can bring in a number of errors in your phone and sometimes, these services can interrupt the working of other Google applications running on your phone.   1. On your phone, go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to Application Settings or Application Manager.
  3. Under the App Manager, navigate to “All Apps”.
  4. From the list of apps, find Google Play Services.
  5. Tap Google Play Store and then tap the Clear Cache/Clear Data button.
  6. If you’re using Android Marshmallow or higher, you will tap Storage option and then tap Clear Cache/Clear Data button.
