Disney+ is compatible with a load of Smart TVs, it supports AirPlay and Samsung SmartView, and it’s officially supporting the Chromecast as well. If you happen to have a Chromecast connected to your TV, you can cast Disney+ on it right away. These are the few requirements for this.
These are the simple and easy steps to cast Disney+ with Google Chromecast.
Turn on your TV and bring the Chromecast screen on the front.
On the Android phone, open the Disney+ application and find the movie/tv show you want to watch.
Now play the movie you want to cast with Chromecast.
As the movie plays, you will find a cast button on the top-right corner of the screen. Press this button.
The Chromecast will appear in the list of available devices. Click on it and cast the screen. That’s all.
Remember that if you have no Chromecast available around, the screen mirroring/cast button will not appear in the Disney+ app. The button only appears when there is a compatible screen-casting device available for connectivity.
If you are living outside the US and Canada but still want to access Disney+, grab the best Disney+ VPN and you are good to go.
In case you own a Vizio TV, the in-built Chromecast is not going to work. Disney+ isn’t available for the Smartcast either. You can follow this guide to cast Disney+ on Vizio Smartcast HDTV via AirPlay 2.
You are hopefully watching Disney+ on a bigger screen now. Chromecast is a really great solution to convert ordinary LED TVs into Smart TVs. I have Disney+ and an old Samsung TV (2013). I have a google fiber TV box which has a built in chrome cast device. I view Disney+ on an iPhone 11. But I can’t cast Disney + to the TV with this set up. Everything else casts fine. Any advice?
Chromecast does not support iPhone. For this setup, you either need a TV with an in-built screencast feature or an Android phone that can work with Chromecast. iOS doesn't have compatibility with other ecosystems, unfortunately.
