Benchmark Result Confirms Google Pixel 3 XL to Have Snapdragon 845, 4GB RAM

Towards the end of Q3 2018, all the smartphone companies are in a race with each other to release their phones. This month, we will see Samsung releasing the Galaxy Note 9. Next month, we will see new phones from Huawei. We might see a new iPhone from Apple as well. Right after all this, Google will join the party with the release of its new Pixel lineup. Google is expected to pull out the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL in October 2018. Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL news are pouring in these days. Some Reddit users spotted the Google Pixel 3 XL benchmark result at GeekBench today. The benchmark result has revealed major specifications of the Google Pixel 3.

According to the GeekBench benchmark, the Google Pixel 3 XL will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU. The single-core result of this CPU in Pixel 3 XL sits at  2426 and multicore sites at 8355. This helps the Google Pixel 3 XL get really close to other phones having Snapdragon 845. These phones include the Galaxy S9, S9+ and the OnePlus 6.

The benchmark result further reveals that Pixel XL will have a RAM of 4GB. Now, this is actually something really disappointing about the Pixel 3 XL. Phone companies these days are installing a RAM of 6GB or 8GB in their flagship devices. Considering the competition, a RAM of 4GB is below par. Since Google is famous for its software optimizations as it uses Vanilla Android on its own phones, it will be really interesting to see how this RAM of 4GB keeps up with the phone.

A couple of days ago, we saw the Google Pixel 3 XL leaking out in Clearly White color. The picture shows the device from the front and back. The Pixel 3 XL will have the infamous notch. It will have a fingerprint scanner at its box. The leaked picture also showed a dual-front camera set up inside the notch. Pixel 3 XL will have a single shooter at the back. The phone will run on Android P when it comes out in October.

Let us know your thoughts on the Google Pixel 3 XL. In the meanwhile, stay connected with us to know more about the upcoming Google handsets.
