Install Android 9 Pie on Moto G5 Plus

If you follow the instructions provided below, you can easily Install Android 9 Pie on Moto G5 Plus. As of now, you all know that Android 9 Pie is out and the list of all the devices is available which will get Android 9 Pie. Unfortunately Moto G5 Plus is not among those devices.

There was a time when Motorola always rolled out two updates for Moto G series. I think the Moto G family has received its latest and final update, which was Android 8.0.

As I have told you before there will be no official update of Android 9.0 for Moto G5 Plus. That’s why we are using a Custom ROMs based on AOSP Android 9. Yea, you need to root your device but you will get the taste of Android 9 Pie.

Download Android 9 Pie custom ROM:

The ROM we are providing is only compatible for Moto G5 Plus. Please don’t attempt to flash it on any other variant. You need to download all the files provided below.

Installation Method:

Since it is a custom ROM you must have TWRP Recovery Installed. If you don’t know how to install TWRP Recovery, Click Here.
Download the ROM and Gapps from the links given above.
Take a complete backup of your device.
Copy VoLTE fix, ROM, and Gapps to your Moto G5.
Boot your device into recovery mode.
Now you have to perform Factory Reset, Advanced Wipe, and Clear Data, Dalvik, Cache partitions.
Head back to the home screen of TWRP and Tap on Install.
Select the ROM file and install it.
Do the same with VoLTE fix and Gapps.
Now Reboot your device.
