Samsung continues its streak of winning the best display awards. After taking the Galaxy Note 9’s display through extensive tests, DisplayMate has declared it as the best display ever on a smartphone. Samsung has been bagging this achievement since the day it released the Galaxy Note 4 and why not? Samsung is the key player in the OLED industry after all. Smartphone makers have been looking up to Samsung to build the OLED displays for their smartphones as well. The company does an enormous job on its very own flagship devices.
DisplayMate tested almost every single aspect of the Galaxy Note 9’s display in order to draw the conclusions. The Galaxy Note 9’s display doesn’t disappoint at all. The testers observe the device to produce peak luminance independent of the on-screen image content APL. Galaxy Note 9 produces color accuracy and intensity scales that are also independent of the Image Content APL. The Note 9 has 4 Color Gamuts and 3 calibrated screen modes with extreme color accuracy. DisplayMate also observes that the Note 9 can also handle 100% DCI-P3 Color Gamut and Digital Cinema mode that can be used for 4K Ultra HD TVs.
Galaxy Note 9’s display has 3K high resolution which is of 2960 x 1440 pixels. It has 516 PPi. The Galaxy Note 9’s display has Diamond Pixels and Sub-Pixel Rendering. The phone also produced high brightness reaching 710 nits which means it is 27 percent higher than the Galaxy Note 8. Note 9 has enhanced Always-On-Display, enhanced HDR mode and personalized auto-brightness mode. The Note 9 can be easily used with polarized glasses both in the portrait and in the landscape mode.

There is an 8MP camera on the front. Note 9 has a smart S-Pen that can control many applications of the phone. The Note 9 runs on Android Oreo out of the box.
