The Huawei Honor 7X might not be as powerful as the Honor V10 it announced last week, but for $200, you will definitely need to make a few comprises, especially if the device features something that is as attractive as an 18:9 aspect ratio.

According to the company, the Honor 7X features an 82.9 percent of screen when you see the entire front and you have a 2160 x 1080 resolution on the 5.93-inch display. If you’re wondering, the Honor 7X also features an aluminum body, which will give it greater durability.

The bezels are not razor thin that they will hide the ‘Honor’ logo at the bottom but if you wanted something that reduced the percentage of metal you see in front of the smartphone, your wish has been answered. The 7X is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 659. This chipset features eight Cortex-A53 cores with RAM and storage versions differing according to the region you live in.

One model gets 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM and will be sold in the America, while European models will get special treatment as they will get 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. All models get microSD card support, and the battery capacity is rated at 3,340mAh. Dual cameras are a popular addition on a smartphone and on the Honor 7X, there is a 16MP primary sensor that is responsible for taking all the photos, while an assistive 2MP sensor is present for depth perception, which includes, bokeh images that sport a shallow depth of field.

The front camera is an 8MP shooter, with all cameras capable of shooting video in 1080p. As for the pricing and availability details, pre-orders of the Honor 7X begin from today and end on December 14.

In America, you can buy the Aurora Blue and Midnight Black for $199 while in Europe, thanks to having more RAM and storage, it will be sold for €299 and will be available in one additional color option, which is Platinum Gold.
