The Samsung Galaxy S8 in Burgundy Red is officially here and while the phone is going to be released in Korean markets first, it is also going to be making its way to markets overseas too, which is a very good thing from the perspective of additional sales.
“Samsung Electronics has officially announced the release of a bold new colorway for the Galaxy S8: Burgundy Red. The striking edition will be available first in Korea beginning on November 28, before rolling out to select markets.*
The new, luxurious hue accentuates the elegance of the Galaxy S8’s ergonomic glass and metal form, creating a seamless and refined aesthetic that will resonate with a wide range of tastes.
In addition to a sleek, bezel-less design, the Galaxy S8 features an array of cutting-edge, user experience-enhancing mobile technologies.
The Galaxy S8 is also available in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Coral Blue, Arctic Silver and Maple Gold.”
Aside from the color change, there are no hardware differences present in the Galaxy S8 Burgundy Red. Just to be clear, since this model is going to be released in Korea, it will feature the Exynos 8895 SoC and not the Snapdragon 835 version.
If the Galaxy S8 Burgundy Red version makes its way to the United States, then it will feature a Snapdragon 835, otherwise, Samsung will stick to the Exynos 8895. It will also feature 4GB of RAM and a 3,000mAh battery inside its beautiful glass and metal chassis.
There is only a single 12MP shooter at the back but according to previous leaks, using a software update, users will be able to take portrait images with just a single camera lens, since that is what the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are able to do.
Price of the new color model has not been detailed, but we’ll update you as soon as we get word from Samsung.
