Samsung is upping their game, we have seen this in their mid-range and entry-level smartphones from last year. With increased competition, this was inevitable as other brands were capturing their market shares by producing great products at a good price point. The same strategy is also being extended to their tablets. The Galaxy S3 lineup was supposed to be announced in the last quarter of 2016, but due to Note 7 issues, this was postponed. Now the tablet has been popping up in news, hinting to a early announcement.

A few days ago, we reported that Galaxy tab S3 will be powered by Exynos 7420. But today the tablet was spotted at a benchmark site GFXBench, which states that it is not the case. Galaxy Tab S3 will be powered by Qualacomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC and will be paired with a 4GB RAM. There is a possibility that Samsung is making use of two different chipsets, similar to what they do with their flagships.

Galaxy Tab S3 will have two variants with the model number SM-T820 and SM-T825. One of the variants is LTE enables and the other one has Wi-fi certification according to earlier reports. The tablet will sport a 9.6-inch 2048 x 1536 display. In addition it will have a 12MP front facing and 5MP selfie-shooter. It will run Android Nougat and is expected to be announced at the Mobile World Congress 2017, taking place next month in Barcelona.
