The long wait is over. Samsung has revealed the Galaxy Note 9. The South Korean manufacturer took the stage to pull the curtains off from its new Note smartphone in the New York City yesterday. The Galaxy Note 9, by all the means, from all the angles, by every single perspective, is a fabulous device. Samsung has done a tremendous job on this phone.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 does not only come with the top-of-the-line hardware, the phone has got some powerful features. The phone still follows the design language of the Galaxy Note 8, but Samsung has focused on improving the device internally. The Galaxy Note 9 is powered by the Exynos 9810 or the Snapdragon 845 CPU. It has a RAM of 6GB. It has the base storage starting from 128GB and there is one more variant with 512GB internal storage. Galaxy Note 9 has an upgraded camera. Its S-Pen has been upgraded. It is a water and dust resistant smartphone with IP68 certification. The phone has some features that you will not find on any smartphone that exists at the moment.
Now that the Note 9 is finally out, the Samsung Note fans are thinking whether to buy this device or not. The Galaxy Note 9 comes with a hefty price tag starting from $999. Before you invest this much of money, you must note down the upgrades that are worth this much. To make the research process easy for everyone who’s looking to buy the Galaxy Note 9, I’ve put together all the features that make it an absolutely worthy handset. So, here are the reasons explaining why you should buy the Galaxy Note 9.
I have gone through all the new features and upgrades in the Galaxy Note 9. These are the 10 reasons to buy the Galaxy Note 9 in my humble opinion.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note with the 16GB onboard storage. The Galaxy Note 2 came with the same storage capacity. In the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note 5, there was only 32GB internal storage. Galaxy Note 7 was launched with a 64GB internal storage chip, but it ended up as a nightmare for Samsung. Gone are the days when 64GB was the base storage. It’s time for an upgrade now. The Galaxy Note 9 comes with a 128GB internal storage chip. It also supports external microSD card up to 2TB. Samsung has also launched a 512GB storage variant of the Galaxy Note 9.
Remember the Galaxy S9 Plus camera? Galaxy S9 Plus was the world’s first smartphone to have a camera with variable aperture. This camera helped the Galaxy S9 Plus to grab the top spot in DxOmark’s ranking. Galaxy S9 Plus stayed on top as long as the Huawei P20 Pro didn’t come out.
Samsung has deployed the same camera system on the Galaxy Note 9. It has dual shooters having a 12MP shooter with adjustable aperture and the other 12MP with a telephoto lens. That’s not it. The camera on the Galaxy Note 9 has got another upgrade.
Galaxy Note 9’s camera is AI-powered. The camera is capable of detecting the scene. It automatically adjusts the conditions according to landscape, object, people, nature or any other type of photography.
Among all the Samsung Galaxy Note and S series devices, the Galaxy Note 9 has the biggest battery. The Note 9 has a 4,000 mAh battery that can easily last for a day on moderate use. That’s not it, Samsung has made several optimizations to make this battery last extra long.
Snapdragon 845 CPU is the standard for any flagship in 2018. Galaxy Note 9 definitely makes the use of this latest SoC, however, there is this liquid cooling system that makes it a unique phone. Samsung has planted the water-cooling copper contact system that runs through the Note 9]9’s SoC and its battery as well. This system will keep the phone from heating up resulting in better performance and better battery life.
The Note 9 is not a gaming device, however, this incredible feature helps it become one. So, if you are fond of playing games on a QHD screen as big as the Note 9’s, you may consider investing your hard-earned money on this phone.
The S-Pen in the Note 9 is not an ordinary one. Samsung has made it smart with the help of Bluetooth connectivity. The Note 9’s S-Pen can perform various operations in the applications running on your phone. For example, you can take out the S-Pen and press its button to launch the camera. Double press the button to switch between cameras. Similarly, you can tap the S-Pen to launch any other application of your choice as the mapping options are there on the phone.
The S-Pen charges itself while it is plugged into the phone. 30 seconds of charging gives the S-Pen a life of up to 40 minutes. Samsung is selling the S-Pen separately as well. So, if you want to grab the S-Pen for another compatible device, you can definitely enjoy these features.
Galaxy Note 9 is a project treble-enabled smartphone. Project Treble was launched by Google to help manufacturers roll out faster Android updates. The Project Treble focuses less on the hardware of the phones so that the manufacturers do not have to modify the entire Android system for their phones. Now, the manufacturers can roll out the updates faster by only focusing on the UI and other software aspects of the phones mostly.
Samsung DeX is a great utility for those who love to use their phone as a computer. So far, the Samsung devices required the DeX pad to convert into a desktop PC. With the Galaxy Note 9, the need of the DeX pad has been killed. Galaxy Note 9 can be transformed into a computer with the help of a USB Type-C to HDMI cable. The cable is coming in the value pack of the Note 9. You can also buy this cable separately.
Believe it or not, the headphone jack is a rare feature nowadays. Smartphone manufacturers are blatantly following Apple’s footsteps and removing the headphone jack from their new phones. Fortunately, Samsung is not one of them. The Galaxy Note 9 has a headphone jack underneath right next to the USB Type-C port.
Galaxy Note 9 has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution. Thankfully, Samsung still hasn’t opted for an ugly notch. The Galaxy Note 9 has 18:9 curved display which looks incredible. So, if you don’t like the infamous notch on your phone, you may consider the Galaxy Note 9 then. Galaxy Note 9 stock wallpapers are also available now.
Samsung has joined hands with Epic Games to make the Fortnite exclusive to the Galaxy Note 9. For now, the Fortnite game is available only for the Galaxy Note 9. The game will be exclusive to Samsung devices for about 30 days. So, if you love playing games like Fortnite, this may seem a good deal to you.
Go through all the feature listed above and find another smartphone beating this list. You will not be able to to do so, not in the year 2018 at the least. Samsung has outshined all other smartphones for now. The Galaxy Note 9 is by far the best smartphone available till date. It also carries a price tag similar to the Galaxy Note 8. Pre-ordering the Galaxy Note 9 has its own perks. Samsung is releasing the device on August 24.
That’s all. If you are planning to buy the Note 9, let me know what are your reasons. If you are not, even then let me know what are your reasons. Stay connected.
