Android 9 Pie for Galaxy A8 Plus
First things first, this is the biggest update in Samsung’s history. Not only this update changes the version number to Android 9, but it also brings some features never seen before on Samsung phones.
Android Pie brings a new UI called the One UI. This new One UI replaces the old Samsung Experience UI. Samsung has changed the look of almost all the elements on the phone. Applications have now got cards showing the application name in a banner-style. The settings application has been overhauled from top to bottom. Samsung has also changed the icons in the quick toggles.
One UI has been designed to make the phone usage comfortable for the users who prefer operating it with one hand. All the elements have been put together while keeping one-handed usage in mind. This is what it is named as One UI.
As far as new features are concerned, this update packs a bunch of them. In the Android Pie, users can find the new Night Mode. The Night Mode is called Dark Mode on other Android phones. It make the entire UI black which is very useful for the Super AMOLED screens.
Native private DNS support is also a part of the new firmware. You can now block ads without any third party application. The private DNS is useful for many other such activities.
Another useful feature is the Adaptive battery mode. This mode can adjust the battery consumption according to your usage now. Samsung has improved the performance of the phone too.
