Talking about this year, a huge range of renowned flagship smartphones were seen surfacing to the heights of success. The whole year was jam-packed with debuts of smartphones and thus the list of trending smartphones kept shuffling. We saw a fierce competition between these smartphones making their debuts simultaneously. The highlights of this year so far are Samsung Galaxy S8, OnePlus 5, Xiaomi Mi6 and Mi6 Plus, Note 8, Xperia Z1, LG G6, Xperia XZ, Huawei Mate 9, Huawei P9 and a couple of others. Samsung’s powerful and much-awaited smartphone, the Note 8 hit the shelves right when Apple celebrated its 10th anniversary with the launch of iPhone 8 and iPhone X. Xperia XZ was launched as the company’s fourth flagship smartphone in the past two years. The highlight of Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact like all Sony smartphones is a great camera and vibrant pictures. This phone comes with an innovative design and the waterproof feature returned with this phone. It has a durable battery life, good 4K display and a stunning camera lens for great pictures! It comes with a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor and the XZ1 pair comes with Sony’s Motion Eye camera system and stunning front-facing cameras.
We certainly cannot miss out on the LG G6 flagship smartphone which has been a rival to Samsung Galaxy S8. It was first launched in India and became available for sale on April 25. It comes with metal body and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 backing, with Android 7.0 Nougat. This phone flaunts a FullVision display, DolbyVision HDR certification, and an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC. We must say this phone shows a power-packed performance!
This flagship smartphone was announced in 2017 with the LG G6. It became the center of attention and the focus of all the limelight. Coming with fingerprint sensor, dual camera, and a lovely aluminum body, this smartphone has a perfect finish and is a sight for sore eyes for sure! The news of Huawei P10 and P10 Plus was revealed in Barcelona on February 26, where the company announced the release of these twin smartphones. They were anticipated to be similar to their predecessors, but a better version of them of course! The highlight of these phones is the fingerprint scanner on the front, below the screen, but not on the back as the previous P series.

Coming with Snapdragon 835 powered HTC and Edge Sense technology, the HTC U was the highlight of the year 2017. The smartphone was launched at an event on May 16 and was rumored to be a bendable phone as you can use it simply by squeezing the edges of the device and performing various tasks. This particular feature of HTC U created a stir amongst its competitors. Squeezy much!
As its ancestor, the OnePlus 3‘s release was announced in June 2016, the news of OnePlus 5 was announced a few months later. Coming With a combination of high-end specs yet an economical price tag, OnePlus 5 surely looked promising. This phone made its appearance in India first and showcased its premium design and phenomenal performance. It surely comes as a fantastic buy for smartphone lovers!
