Samsung’s next generation S-series flagship is the talk of the town right now, given that we got to see different live images of the alleged device and even got our hands on the spec sheet for Galaxy S8+. After looking at the spec sheet, we were curious about the specs that Galaxy S8 will have. Putting all question to rest is the spec sheet for Galaxy S8, shared by TechnoBuffalo which gives us a very good idea of what we can expect from the device.
Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.8-inch QuadHD, Super AMOLED display. This time around both variants of the new flagship will have a dual curved display, so the given the dual curves, the display screen will 5.6-inches. The smartphone will have a 4GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which can be extended via the micro SDcard. According to a report out early this week, there is a strong probability that the Chinese variant will have 6GB RAM. A 12-megapixel dual pixel main camera will be paired with an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The smartphone will have an IP68 water and dust resistance, this is one of the features that Samsung brings to its flagships. In addition, the device will have an iris scanner, provide support for Samsung Pay.
The specs for Galaxy S8 are similar to Samsung Galaxy S8, the only different is the display size. No information regarding the processor and battery that will power the device has been provided. Samsung will most probably be equipping Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895. Another feature that is rumored to debut with the devices is Samsung’s voice based AI assistant Bixby, that also is not mentioned.
Samsung will be showing a promo of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ at their MWC event, where they will be unveiling Galaxy Tab S3. Lets see which features do they end up highlighting in the promo.
