OPPO is making its way to the Mobile World Congress. The company today announced their presence through the invitations sent. OPPO is one of the top Chinese smartphone brands and at the moment finds itself in the fourth in the world. The company has a strong presence in Asia but they haven’t ventured in the US markets but with this announcement it seems as things are about to change. OPPO will be holding their event on 27th February at which they plan to introduce a new 5X camera technology.

One of the elements that OPPO focuses on its smartphones is the camera. They have hone into the selfie and mobile photography culture. Back in 2014 they introduced a unique concept of a 260 degrees rotating camera in OPPO N3. Over the years they have focused on improving the camera tech. At the MWC this year they are planning to unveil their latest tech and which is described at “a remarkable technological breakthrough that will change how the world perceives smartphone photography.”.

As the invitation does not divulge any information about what the tech is or which smartphone they plan to unveil it with. As far as the 5X tech goes, it is most probably a new optical zooming technology and enhanced image quality. AT the CES last month, ASUS showed off the 3x zoom feature with Zenfone 3 Zoom. We can expect something like that.

With the MWC just around the corner we cannot wait to see how OPPO dazzles at the event. Let’s see if we get to hear any other updates and rumors about OPPO’s elusive device which will be landing at the MWC.
