Sony has launched its flagship Xperia XZ2 in February this year with specs to match its fame. Almost all Android smartphones are coming with more or less the same specs for a given price range. However, the most interesting feature that sets Xperia XZ2 apart is its powerful sound system. We all know that Sony is synonymous with music in the tech circle. The Xperia XZ2 Qualcomm HW Audio Processing improves music definition to Hi-Resolution Audio. A Senior XDA Member sirdoha,

ported and perfected Sony’s Sound System features to work on all rooted Android devices. In this article, we’ll show you how to Install Sony Xperia XZ2 Sound System on any Android Device.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Sound System includes sound enhancing technologies such as High-Resolution Audio, LDAC, and High-Resolution Audio with even compressed files sounding better, thanks to DSEE HX. The library files are ported directly from Sony Xperia XZ2’s latest firmware 51.1.A.3.159. This port is compatible with all Android devices running on Android version 5.0 or higher.

There is one catch though. The mod activation takes some time after every reboot. So, you’ll need to play music on the Sony Music app, lock your phone and wait for 5 seconds for the Sony Xperia XZ2 port to be activated. You need to do this after every reboot, but it’s worth to wait 5 seconds for the improved audio performance.
