Phoenix AEX is the extended AOSP based custom ROM available for the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T. The ROM pulls out stock UI/UX with the Substratum theme engine onboard. If you are confused about the ROM name, the name has been given because of a blend of features from different sources. Phoneix AEX combines features from ROMs like Paranoid Android, Resurrection Remix and some features produced by independent developers. It only borrows the features that are the most useful. Phoenix AEX for the OnePlus 3 and 3T provides a smooth performance, a reliable battery timing and a stable system to rely on.

If you don’t like sticking with the stock ROM of your OnePlus 3/3T, you have a number of custom ROMs to go with. There are stock based custom ROMs and then there are the complete and pure custom ROMs. Stock based custom ROMs are good to go with as far as you care about a bug-free and a smooth system. If you can handle slight bugs and you want plenty of features, you probably want to go with a pure custom ROM. Phoenix AEX is not a stock based custom ROM. It’s built out of different sources that are open. You’ve already had a look on the features offered by this ROM. Now if you have made up your mind to flash it on your OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, then let us handle it from here.
You can install the ROM on your phone using the latest build of TWRP. Flashing the ROM is quite easy. It also needs a Gapps package since it doesn’t include any apps at all. In this post, you will learn how to install OnePlus 3/3T Phoenix AEX Custom ROM.
