MWC is just a few days away, and we are looking forward to the different smartphones that will be announced there. Not only brands like LG and Samsung will be there but some old names like BlackBerry and Nokia will also be making a comeback and announcing their new devices at the event. Alcatel will also making its presence known at the MWC with their Alacatel Idon 5S smartphone which was sighted at the bench marking site GeekBench revealing its specs.
According to the specs revealed Alactel Idol 5S will be equipped with an octa core Heilo P20 processcor which is clocked at 1..69 GHz, along with a 3GB RAM. The device will run Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box. The smartphone will not have a dual camera, as this is one of the ‘fashionable’ features these days as Heilo P20 does not support a dual lens camera setup. The rest of the specs are not mentioned but we are sure that we will get to know more about them in the coming days. As the Alactel Idol lineup is about providing users with good devices in a affordable price point, last years Idol 4S was priced at $350, we can expect Idol 5S to retail at a similar rate.
Alcatel will be announcing 5 new smartphones at the MWC along with a modular design, it will be worth looking at how the company has adapted the concept and made it their own.
