Yesterday we saw a leaked image which allegedly came straight outta Foxconn. Previous claims suggested that the image was of the upcoming iPhone 7, however we recently witnessed a dramatic twist in the events. Li Nan, Vice President Meizu, officially announced that the device shown in yesterday’s close-up shot is actually the Meizu Pro 6.
To support the announcement, Li Nan provided a picture featuring the back of their upcoming smartphone. We can clearly see the Meizu logo engraved on the back panel of the smartphone in addition to the plasticky antenna strips at the bottom. This is surely an odd development of events but credit goes to Meizu for owning their self designed and manufactured product.
This should be kept in mind that we are expecting a similar design in the upcoming iPhone 7 which led to the mix up. The iPhone 7 might feature a similar antenna design with a dual camera setup on its back. You can view and compare the official image provided by Li Nan with the 3rd Party renders of the iPhone in the slideshow bellow.
We are expecting iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus to host some major differences as compared to each other. The iPhone 7 might feature 2GB of RAM while its larger brother could be unveiled with a larger, 3GB of Ram. As mentioned above, a different camera system is being rumored. iPhone 7 Plus could be launched with further two variants, one with a single lens like the iPhone 7 and a second with a dual-lens camera system that offers DSLR-like image quality with 2-3x optical zoom and improved performance in low light conditions.
That is all for now, stay tuned to get further updates on the “who copied who” debate between Meizu and Apple.
