Xiaomi is all set to keep the competition hot in the Chinese market with 2 smartphone launches planned for the first half of January. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 was already scheduled, today a new reports out suggest that the company is planning to unveil another smartphone on 4th January. What the company plans to unveil on 4th is until now unconfirmed but it is speculated that a new version of the Redmi 1S will most probably be seen that day.
The new smartphone maybe named Redmi 1S Dual 4G, that’s a bit mouthful. The Redmi 1S was certified by TENAA a few weeks back, so we have information about the specifications of the device. The smartphone will be powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 chipset, accompanied by a 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. The device will sport a 4.7-inch 720p HD display and will be equipped with an 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras. The smartphone will support a 4G LTE connectivity and will be powered by Android 4.4 Kit Kat. Redmi S1 Dual 4G will be available in a variety of colors : red, orange, yellow, green, black, white, purple and blue.
Xiamoi currently is the top smartphone manufacturer in China but faces increased competition by companies like Meizu and OnePlus. All of these companies currently are working on the philosophy of producing good and affordable products. Xaimoi by bringing out various smartphones which target different price criterion is set to retain its position as the top manufacturer in the Chinese market.
