Xiaomi just unveiled an all new Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro. This smartphone is a ‘Pro’ variant of the previously launched Xiaomi Redmi 3. The Redmi 3 Pro comes with a fingerprint scanner which was nowhere to be found on the standard Redmi 3, in addition to that it features an upgraded – 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
Apart from the above mentioned changes, the new smartphone is completely identical to the standard variant. Both handsets sport a 5 inch HD display which is accompanied by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SoC. Furthermore, you’ll get the same 13 megapixel shooter at the back coupled with a 5 megapixel selfie camera at the front. Other features include Dual SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, microUSB 2.0 and the massive 4,100 mAh battery. Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro will come out of the box with pre-installed Android v5.1 Lollipop.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro will reach stores on the Mi Fan Festival – April 4. You can get you hands on the silver, grey and gold variants for the same RMB 899 ($140) pricetag.
Reportedly Xiaomi is working on a handset to compete with the recently released Apple iPhone SE too. Rumors suggest that the smartphone hosts a 4.3 inch screen like the one featured in the iPhone SE. Even though the alleged smartphone might feature a smaller screen, the internal components are a whole different story. 4.3 inch Xiaomi smartphone is rumored to host the top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. Other features include HD display, fingerprint scanner, 13 megapixel sans OIS rear shooter, 3GB of RAM and 32 GB on internal storage capacity. You might get all of this stuff for just RMB 1,799 (around $275). The source further claims that the smartphone will be unveiled this June. Stay tuned for further updates.
