Apple has officially scheduled an event on March 21st. We are expecting three major releases on the day – the 4 inch iPhone SE, Apple iPad 3 and an upgraded Apple Watch. The newer iPad will basically be targeting those customers who’d love the performance capabilities of the iPad Pro minus the 12.9″ screen size and sky-high price. Therefore the iPad 3 will be running a A9X chipset along with 4GB of RAM, feature quad-speakers while support compatibility with Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard. As far as the refreshed Apple Watch is concerned, reports are that the new watch might surface with Apple FaceTime support. Although iPhone SE will be carrying a 4 inch screen, there will be no compromise on its performance capabilities. Reportedly this upcoming device will be unveiled with the same power and features as in iPhone 6s.
A credible Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the iPhone SE will feature a 12 megapixel rear snapper instead of the rumored 8 megapixel camera. Mr Kuo further speculated that the upcoming smartphone will be somewhere in between $400 to $500 and will be offering two different storage options – 16GB and 64 GB. Furthermore the device will pack a 1642 mAh battery along with Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi 802.11ac under the hood. Apple iPhone SE is expected to be powered by the same A9 chipset that is found under the hood of the Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus. Despite the lack of 3D Touch, it will reportedly offer Live Photos. NFC and Apple Pay are both said to be supported, along with Touch ID.
We have already seen some leaked images of the upcoming smartphone which revealed some features of the smartphone. If you are interested in a clearer image of the device, please have a look at the video below.
This should be noted that this video features just an alleged iPhone SE and the original device could be completely or partly different for the one shown. This statement is further supported by the vocal disclaimer, at the end of the video, about the phone that is allegedly the iPhone SE.
The video claims that the iPhone SE is a “mixed blood of iPhone 5s and iPhone 6s.” The smartphones resembles the iPhone 6s in its design while matches the iPhone 5s in its dimensions.
Anyways, the official unveiling is just a couple of days ahead. We’ll be updating you with all the reports, leaks and official announcements of the smartphone – So stay tuned.
