Not even 12 months have passed since the release of Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7, but the company is gearing up to unveil their improved versions. Both these handsets made a visit to FCC in the recent past. Galaxy J5 and J7 have already received Bluetooth SIG certification which leads to a conclusion that the latter will be announced in no time.
These smartphones are basically aimed for budget conscious customers which might be available for sale soon judging from a pair of official user manuals for China Mobile and China Telecom versions of the devices, available on Samsung servers. Previously released Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 were made released in China prior to any other country. Apparently the company will be adopting the same plan for their upcoming upgraded smartphones.
Lets have a look at the contents of the leaked manual. Luckily, the manual hosts some additional information regarding the hardware and specifications of the the smartphones. Firstly, the antenna slits shown in previous TENNA certifications are clearly visible in the manual. The manual suggests that J5 and J7 will be the first smartphones of their kind to feature a metal unibody. Though, of course, we should expect plastic in a couple of places to accommodate radio reception through the metal removable back plate. This metal back, once removed, will reveal the large removable battery – 3,300 mAh for the case of J7.
Furthermore the manual contains reference to Android 5.1.1 along with Samsung Music app. Though this app has been making appearances in many devices lately, Samsung still seems to be reluctant to make this a permanent part of their Android Versions. That’s all till now, stay tuned for further updates.
