Sony’s Xperia L was released in the year 2013 as a low-end smartphone. The phone equipped a 4.3-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution and 228 ppi. A Snapdragon 300 Dual-core CPU alongside Adreno 305 GPU was fixed inside. The Xperia L carried an 8 MP camera at the back and a VGA shooter on the front. The device ran on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box and it was updated to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean later on. These were the only two firmwares which this device had a chance to run on. update-sony-xperia-l-to-android-7-1-nougat-via-cyanogenmod-14-1

Xperia L is among the few lucky devices which have been getting blessed by latest custom ROMs every now and then. We had a chance to enjoy Android KitKat, Android Lollipop and Android Marshmallow by means of custom ROMs like CyanogenMod on the Xperia L. Now is the time for Android 7.1 Nougat. A CyanogenMod 14.1 Custom ROM based on Android 7.1 Nougat is now out for the Xperia L. The ROM has already entered its beta stage and it’s getting stable with time.

You can install this ROM to enjoy Nougat on your Xperia L. All you need is a custom recovery which will let you flash the ROM on your phone. There might be a few bugs, but if you have flashed custom ROMs in past, you should be able to handle the minor issues easily.
