Apparently LG is gearing up to introduce some new members to their K series. Just recently, two new smartphones, LG K530 and LG K535, were spotted on GeekBench with all of their key specifications. Let’s have a look at the benchmark test in detail.
Firstly, the LG K530 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC under its hood. For the ones who haven’t heard of the chipset, it consists of 1.2 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 505 GPU. In the memory department, we have 2GB of RAM while the handset was running on Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow at the time of benchmark test. There is one anomaly though, GeekBench listing shows a processor clocked at 1.4GHz while according to Qualcomm, their processor cannot exceed 1.2GHz. Thus, this might just be a mistake on GeekBench’s end.
In addition to the mistake in K530’s listed clock speed, GeekBench shows 0MHz clock speed of K535’s processor. Apart from that, all specifications of K535 are similar to K530 except for an additional 1GB of RAM. This leads to speculations that the smartphones in question might just be two different variants of a single model.
Unfortunately there is still no news regarding the launch or price of the handset, though considering the fact that both K530 and K535 have an upper hand on the specifications of LG K10, we should expect a bit costlier handset than the latter. Stay tuned for latest updates.
